Little Grace October 31st, 2011 0 Comments
Shooting Grace, an ADORABLE 18 month old girl, seemed exciting at first. Then the nerves set in of what if she hates me? What if she decides she doesn’t want a camera following her around? What if she cries? I started freaking myself out and realized that this may be one of my hardest shoots as I have ZERO control of Grace. Adults are easy. They want direction and will work with me with different poses and do a wonderful job at just being themselves for those awesome action shots. But children are a whole other playing field!! The first day I met Grace she wanted nothing to do with me and made sure I knew she was the boss. But then when it came down to shoot her, she was AMAZING! I realized how much child photography is so much more genuine as children are themselves and don’t know how to act or be any different. I spent hours running after Grace and took over 800 pictures of her. Her running and playing around in the farm could not have been any more perfect, pure and just a joy to capture on camera. I LOVED the candidness and spirit in the pictures and am excited to capture more of these genuine moments in a child’s life.
